Jesmonite set - 600g powder + 240ml liquid

Usage

1. Prepare a clean, flat workspace along with the necessary tools and materials.
2. Measure the two components of Jesmonite in the following ratio: 2.5 parts powder to 1 part liquid (e.g., 250 g of powder to 100 g of liquid).
3. Gradually mix the powder into the liquid until you achieve a completely homogeneous and lump-free mixture. Ensure thorough mixing from the bottom and sides of the container.
4. If you wish to add color, mix in a water-based pigment, such as Pentart paste, up to a maximum of 2%. Over-coloring can prevent proper curing. For a decorative touch, you can apply foil inside the mold before pouring the Jesmonite mixture.
5. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold, ensuring smooth coverage. You will have approximately 5-7 minutes of working time.
6. After 1-2 hours, remove the cast from the mold and allow it to dry completely for about 24 hours.
7. Once hardened, you can sand, paint, or varnish the item. You can use acrylic paint, marbling, decoupage, stenciling, or other effects to add a glossy or antique finish to the surface.
8. Clean your workspace and tools with warm, soapy water after use.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

Jesmonite is suitable for both indoor and outdoor objects. For outdoor applications, it is recommended to coat the finished item with a sealant to enhance resistance to weather conditions.
